Omicron Nanotechnology dissolved in 2019 and the company manufactured special-purpose machinery,A Facebook user posted an image on November 28 with a caption, "OMICRON NANOTECHNOLOGY LIMITED. Take a look at the company number 03204016 or 32416 when losing the zeros as no value^^^^^. 3 x 2 x 4 x 1 x 6 = 144. The word KILLER in Jewish Gematria = 144. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED AND EVERYTHING IS CODE^^^^^ 🤬🤬🤬🤬." This caption is accompanied by a screenshot of the company's listing on U.K.'s Companies House website. This claim uses a form of numerology, a system of finding secret meanings in numbers, to make false claims about the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, implying that its emergence was predicted and that the pandemic was planned. As viruses replicate and spread, their genetic code often changes. These changes are usually errors in copying the code, and are called mutations. Most mutations have no effect, some mutations harm the ability of the virus to function, but some mutations make viruses more dangerous or more transmissible. Sometimes viruses accumulate a cluster of mutations that are genetically distinct, WHO labels it a "variant being monitored", or VBM. These VBMs are named after successive letters of the Greek alphabet. If a VOI's mutations are potentially quite dangerous to humanity, then they are upgraded to "variants of concern," or VOCs. The Delta variant, which was first detected in India, was one such VOC. Most VBMs go unreported in the international press, as they do not become dangerous enough to be upgraded to VOIs or VOCs. The variant B.1.1.529 was first reported to WHO from South Africa on November 24, 2021. It was upgraded to a VOC two days later on November 26 due to the large number of potentially dangerous mutations it had. As of publication time (December 1) it is still unknown exactly how transmissible this variant is, or how much it can evade vaccination. Omicron Nanotechnology Limited was established in 1996 and was dissolved in 2019, according to Companies House. The company manufactured special-purpose machinery and has nothing to do with virology. Gematria is a form of numerology, a system of finding secret meanings in numbers. According to conspiracy researcher Mike Rothschild, "Unlocking the secrets of supposedly mystical numbers is a popular concept in various holistic, paranormal, and conspiracy theory circles; encompassing everything from New Age numerology to the medieval Kabbalist gematria, substituting numbers for Hebrew letters to decode a “secret message” hidden within texts." There is no evidence that these systems can accurately predict the future. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
