Managing Director R S Sodhi has refuted it and said that it was fake news.R S Sodhi gave the clarification in a tweet, dated 18 March 2020, stating that the fake news was circulating on social media claiming that Amul was going to close down its milk chilling centres and procurement activities due to COVID-19. He further added that on the contrary, they were procuring more chilling centres than they did before. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
