An old image of Baba Ramdev hospitalized has gone viral on social media. The post falsely claims that he is on ventilator support in the hospital. An image from June 2011 involving spiritual leader Baba Ramdev falsely states that he is presently on ventilator support in the hospital. The post sarcastically snubs Ramdev, who is a self-proclaimed yoga expert. The caption reads, "one who gave knowledge on oxygen was himself on a ventilator." Logically did a google reverse image search to find that the viral image was from 2011 when Ramdev was hospitalized in Dehradun following a nine-day hunger strike against corruption. It was the Indian news channel NDTV that initially published the picture. Incidentally, this is not the first time Baba Ramdev's hospital image went viral, citing false claims. In 2020, a Facebook user shared the same photo, falsely claiming Ramdev was hospitalized due to an overdose on cow-urine.
