The principal in the viral video is not from Bishop Cotton's Girls School.A viral video claimed that the person slapping a parent was from Bishop Cotton's Girls School from Bengaluru. In the video, a parent can be seen arguing with the principal in Hindi about the hike in school fee structure amid the COVID-19 crisis. The principal of Bishop Cotton's Girls School is Dr.Lavanya Mithran, according to its official website. The principal in the video does not have any resemblance to Dr.Mithran. The News Minute reported that Dr.Mithran had clarified that many parents alerted her about the fake video purporting to be of her, and added that the video might be from a school in Bihar. She said that the school did not have any other branch. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
