Manoj Tiwari had distributed masks to the people days before the lockdown was announced by the Government of India. Delhi's BJP chief Manoj Tiwari through his Twitter account had posted the video of him distributing the sanitisers and mask in front of Hanuman Mandir, Connaught Place, during the awareness campaign on coronavirus on 17 March 2020. According to the Press Information Bureau, the nationwide lockdown was announced by the government of India on 24 March 2020. So, the claim stating that the Delhi's BJP chief Manoj Tiwari had violated the lockdown is false, as he had distributed the mask well before the lockdown was announced. The is being falsely shared on social media. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
