There is no evidence that coronavirus can spread through seafood.Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has stated that there is no scientific evidence to show that coronavirus spreads through eating chicken, mutton, and seafood. FSSAI chief G.S.G Ayyangar said that the virus would not survive in higher temperatures. The coronavirus spreads from person to person, and it is always important to practice good hygiene when handling food and its packaging to prevent foodborne illnesses. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has stated that the nutrients from seafood, among other foods, can help cope with pandemic-related stress.
