No, Biden does not have a body double who is left-handed

An old photo of US President Joe Biden has been flipped to falsely claim that Joe Biden has a body double who is left-handed.

Context
On April 26, 2023, a Facebook user posted a blurred collage consisting of two photos of U.S. President Joe Biden, with the text, “Ooops.. Bidens body double is left handed (sic).” While Biden can be seen signing a document with his right hand in the photo on the left, he is seen using his left hand in the photo on the right.
However, this claim is false. The image has been edited to spread a false claim that Biden has a body double.
In Fact
Logically Facts has found that while the photo on the left is authentic, the photo on the right has been flipped to make it appear as though Biden is writing with his left hand.
A reverse image search of both photos separately yielded the original photos. The photo on the left where Biden is using his right hand is from April 2010. The photo was taken when Joe Biden, then the Vice-President, visited the Polish Embassy in Washington, D.C. on April 14, 2010 by David Lienemann and was shared by the White House that year.
The photo on the right has been flipped to make it appear as though Biden is writing with his left hand. The original photo is from January 2021. Biden was signing a series of orders at the Oval House in White House, Washington, D.C. after being sworn in as the president on January 20, 2021. The photo was taken by Jim Watson for AFP. In the collage, one can see Biden’s blazer pocket on the right side. A comparison with the original photo shows that the setting, background, and contents are the same, such as the American flags at the back, and the curtains next to them on either side. This proves that the picture on the right has been flipped.
In a video interview with Wired on May 22, 2020, Biden answered the web’s most searched questions about himself. In the interview, Biden was given a board with questions covered with a sticker, which he had to uncover to answer the question under it. One of the questions asked was whether he was left-handed. In response, Biden had then replied, “No, that's why I'm having trouble pulling these off with my left hand.”

A flipped image of Joe Biden has been shared to falsely claim that he has a body double who is left-handed. Analysis of the original photographs shows that the images have been manipulated. Therefore, we have marked this claim as false.
