The directions given by the U.S. FDA and the Indian health ministry prove that hydroxychloroquine has been approved in treating COVID-19 patients.According to a research published by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMed Central), COVID-19 patients in France were given 600mg of hydroxychloroquine daily and after the swab tests, it was found that those pills were significantly more efficient for virus elimination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an Emergency Use Authorisation on 28 March 2020 to allow hydroxychloroquine sulfate and chloroquine phosphate products donated to the Strategic National Stockpile(SNS) to be distributed and used for certain hospitalised adolescent and adult patients with COVID-19. The Indian Council of Medical Research has stated in an advisory that hydroxychloroquine can be used for the treatment of the high-risk coronavirus infected population. Therefore, the claim that there is no evidence that HCQ drug even works against the SARS-CoV-2 (the 2019 coronavirus) is not true.
