False: Local trains in Mumbai will resume operation from November 1, 2020.

Mumbai local trains have resumed operations for essential services but have not notified when the train services will resume for the general public.The Mumbai suburban section was entirely closed since March 23, 2020, due to corona restrictions. It has started its services from June 15. Western Railways has announced additional trains to ferry essential services staff as identified by the Government of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, experts have suggested that the Railways should not resume local train services for the general public until September. Local train services continue to remain suspended for commuters, and a senior CR official was quoted as saying that there have been no discussions on the starting of local train services for the public in the city.
