The flyer making rounds on social media is a hoax and has been removed by Facebook A Facebook post showcasing a fake Antifa flyer calling for violence following the 2020 election by encouraging them to disguise themselves as Trump supporters is recirculating on social media. Antifa is an anti-fascist and anti-racist political movement in the U.S. The flyer originated in 2017 with rumors circulated among conservative groups warning about the alleged civil war planned by the Antifa group and that the far-left activists would gather in the streets on Nov. 4, 2017. Though the left-leaning group Refuse Fascism had organized nationwide protests on that day, there were no plans of starting a civil movement. Facebook had flagged the post as fake news and misinformation. We can conclude that the flyer from 2017 was used to circulate rumors of violence by Antifa and that there were no calls for them to riot after election day.
