He only intends to ban new fracking on federal land.President Donald Trump claimed during the presidential debate on Oct 22 that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is totally against fracking on federal land. While Biden has flip-flopped on multiple occasions with respect to his stance on fracking, he has never pledged an outright ban on fracking. Biden only intends to ban new fracking on federal land. His policy allows for existing fracking on federal lands to continue, and existing and new fracking on privately owned land to continue.
