Misleading: The Italians have discovered a vaccine for COVID-19.

The Italian Ministry of Health reported that currently no vaccines are available for COVID-19 and it could take up to 12-18 months to develop one.Takis Biotech, an Italian biotechnology company experimented with a coronavirus candidate vaccine on mice that successfully developed antibodies in them that prevented the virus from infecting the cells. The experiments were reportedly conducted at Spallanzani Hospital in Rome. The company said human trials which are the most advanced stage of the testing of a candidate vaccine is expected to commence soon. The official website of the Italian Ministry of Health has also not published any news of a vaccine for COVID-19 being successfully developed. Pharmaceutical companies across the world are conducting vaccine trials and approval for human use may take a while. The World Health Organisation has said that there are several ongoing clinical trials of both western and traditional medicines and currently, there are no medicines that that could be used to prevent or cure the disease. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
