The life of highly contagious novel coronavirus can remain stable and infectious in droplets in the air for hours and on surfaces up to days. The New England Journal of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health have published a report stating that scientists after conducting experiments involving the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in five environmental conditions (aerosols, plastic, stainless steel, copper, and cardboard), found that the coronavirus was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours, on copper for about four hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
