A full day lockdown is imposed for just one day in a week in Puducherry.Rumors were spread that the Union territory Puducherry was under continuous lockdown. The Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy clarified in a press conference that there would be lockdown only on Tuesdays due to a rise in COVID-19 cases. The lockdown would come into effect from 8 pm Monday to 6 am on Wednesday. He said the lockdown is being implemented on an experimental basis.
