Clarification given by Trump confirms that his claim of using UV light and disinfectants to be used in COVID-19 treatment was a sarcastic one.During a White House press briefing on 23 April, 2020 President Donald Trump had told reporters that the disinfectant will knock out the virus in a minute and said it will be interesting to see if ultraviolet light or any light could be brought inside the body and tested. He also said that the virus survived better in warmer and more humid conditions. The next day, President Trump clarified on the issue and said he was being sarcastic to reporters just to see what would happen when he spoke about using injections of disinfectant to fight the coronavirus. He said disinfectants do kill the virus on the hands and that would make things much better. Further said he only asked the experts to look into whether or not the sun can help in the treatment. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
