Dr. Richard Bartlett uses a comparatively inexpensive asthma medicine budesonide to treat COVID-19 patients, but its success rate cannot be verified.Dr.Richard Bartlett, a physician from Texas, prescribes to inhale corticosteroid medicine, Budesonide, to COVID-19 patients, which is a conventional treatment for Asthma. It is a respiratory anti-inflammatory medicine used to treat respiratory inflammatory disease. It is a generic medicine which inexpensive compared to the widely used treatment methods which are currently used all over the world. He claims that he is using this medicine since March. He further added that Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan had used this method, and the death rate in COVID-19 has decreased. However, the claim that it has a 100% success rate is unverifiable because Dr. Bartlett’s approach is a hypothesis that is not explored at the current time, and there is no enough evidence for it.
