Scientists have not yet determined whether asymptomatic people can spread Covid-19 infection, as some studies suggest that they do infect others.Asymptomatic cases refer to patients who are COVID-19 positive but does not show any of the typical symptoms, including coughing, fever, or breathing issues. The World Health Organization, in its statement, clarified that they are not sure about how frequently people with asymptomatic cases of Covid-19 pass the disease on to others. The data remains unknown, and the same has been collated from various countries. Studies so far suggest that most of the infections might be attributed to silent transmission, from a combination of the presymptomatic stage and asymptomatic infections. In a study, co-authored by researchers from the Imperial College of London and the University of Padova, it has been revealed that around 40 percent of the positive cases showed no symptoms (asymptomatic).
