ICSE Board gave students a choice to either appear or skip their pending exams. If they skip, they will be marked as per internal assessment. In the paramount interest of the student's safety during COVID-19, Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE decided to give students of 10th and 12th grade a choice to appear for their pending exams in July or skip it. The final results for the students who opt to skip their exams would be based on their performance in the internal assessment or pre-board examination held in their schools. CISCE affiliated schools have to send the options selected by the students on or before 22 June 2020. The student can change their options anytime before the examination and inform their school which would, in turn, inform the council.
