The Central Bureau of Investigation registers case against Rhea Chakraborty, her family, and aides in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.The Central Bureau of Investigation on August 8, 2020, lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and five others include Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty (her parents), Showik Chakraborty (brother), Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi for an investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The accused have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for criminal conspiracy, cheating, abetment to suicide, and wrongful confinement. Sushant's father, Krishna Kishori Singh, had alleged that Rhea Chakraborty abetted suicide of his son. Bollywood actor and television star Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14, 2020.
