Florida reports record-high COVID-19 deaths for the second day in a row bringing the total number of deaths to 6,333. On July 28, Florida reported 186 deaths, which was the highest till then. According to Florida's Department of Health, along with 216 deaths, Florida recorded 9,446 new positive COVID-19 cases on July 29, bringing the total to 451,423. The death of two hundred sixteen Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Gadsden, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie and Volusia counties. Florida Division of Emergency Management instructed all state-run COVID-19 testing sites to close down until further notice due to an approaching tropical storm.
