True: Georgia announces a hand recount of the state's 2020 Presidential Election results.

To protect the integrity of the election and to build confidence in the state, Brad Raffensperger declared recounting of ballots manually in Georgia.During the U.S. Presidential Election, the Trump campaign filed many lawsuits in states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. In the legal cases filed, he alleged that fraudulent activities and electoral malpractice took place during the election. Many states have dismissed these lawsuits and the petitions due to the allegations being baseless or a lack of evidence. In Georgia, President-elect Joe Biden leads the election by more than 14,000 votes. Trump currently holds 16 electoral votes in the state of Georgia. Trump filed a lawsuit in Georgia on November 4. On November 5, Superior Court Judge James F. Bass dismissed Trump's lawsuits as there was no evidence to support his claims. The judge also said that there was no evidence that ballots that arrived after the deadline were being counted. On November 11, Georgia’s secretary of state Brad Raffensperger announced at a news conference in Atlanta that Georgia would conduct a statewide recount of ballots cast in the election. He added that due to the margin being so close, in each of 159 counties the ballots would be fully recounted manually. The hand recount is anticipated to be completed by November 20. This decision came after Georgia's two Republican senators, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, demanded Brad Raffensperger's resignation. In a joint statement, the senators claimed that there had been several failures in Georgia elections this year, without citing any specific examples.
