The number of cases recorded in the European region doubled compared to the previous Epi week and 95% of deaths were in people aged 60 years and older. About 68% of all deaths in the European countries were in males. China CDC Weekly showed the fatality rate of the Chinese men was 2.8% in comparison to 1.7% fatality rate for the Chinese women as of 11 February 2020.
