The report said that the Indian cities were unprepared due to corona pandemic. The 2020 Smart City Index rankings were based on technological advancement in tackling the challenges which most of the Indian cities were lacking. Hyderabad was placed at the 85th position while Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi dropped to a new low in the ranking list.
