When he reached his residence in Saptsagar Dawa Mandi, Varanasi, his entry was denied into his own house by his family members fearing that he might have contracted COVID-19. The locality became worried once the news of Ashok's arrival spread and they immediately informed the police authorities of their area. He was allowed to enter the house after he underwent screening at a government hospital and was found asymptomatic for COVID-19 but would remain quarantined in a room for 14 days as a precaution.
