COVID-19 data provided by 'Our World in Data' and analysis by The Washington Post shows that the U.S. has not done the most testing per capita.United States President Donald Trump had claimed that testing is one reason for the lowest mortality rate in the U.S. and that they have been doing more tests than any other country in the world. However, the data compiled by Our World in Data as of 20 March 2020 showed that the U.S. ranked 10th among 63 countries and regions, with 313.6 tests per million people. The top-ranking country by test numbers was U.A.E followed by South Korea. The Washington Post too analysed up to 28 March 2020 and found that South Korea was far ahead in terms of testing numbers per million people based on figures by CDC, KCDC, and The COVID Tracking Project.
