True: UP government issues guidelines for migrants returning amid the COVID-19 surge.

On April 15, 2021, the Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary issued guidelines on the quarantine of migrant workers returning to the state.On Twitter, ANI News cited a notice issued by Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of Health, Uttar Pradesh, on the new guidelines for the migrant workers returning into the state. According to the notice, the migrants are expected to undergo a screening and quarantine process set up by the state government. The government will have to prepare a document for the migrant workers arriving in the state with their necessary details such as name, address, and contact details, respectively, signed by the worker. During the screening, any worker showing the symptoms but testing negative shall quarantine for fourteen days. All asymptomatic workers shall quarantine for seven days. Various quarantine institutions have been set up for workers who cannot quarantine at home. Only one family member of the person in quarantine will be allowed to step out to purchase household things. The order advises people above 60 years, those with heart problems, and pregnant women to maintain distance from the person in quarantine. Amidst rising cases in India, states are taking strict steps in controlling the spread of the virus. Each state is issuing restrictions according to the prevailing scenario. On April 23, 2021, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest single-day spike of 37,238 COVID-19 cases.
