Jurijs is a professional journalist with more than 30 years of experience in media and communications. He worked in Belarus for the BBC, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Reuters, and Latvia’s biggest daily, Diena as their Minsk Correspondent and later in Ukraine as the editor-in-chief of several daily newspapers. He also was a communications manager of U.S.- and EU-funded projects in Ukraine, the United Nations in Belarus, and the International Organization for Migration in Switzerland.
